Curriculum

What we’re offering is the International Curriculum for Languages and Creative Arts (ICLCA) - a curriculum that’s properly age appropriate, in terms of catering both for the age of the children we teach and for the evolutionary age in which we are living.  That’s quite a claim, but it’s one of the defining principles that makes the TCG concept so unique.

Based on a real understanding of brain development, we’ve tailor made a curriculum designed to capitalize on the neuroscience that underpins how children learn.  Our programme is therefore all about engaging the child’s emotions, because if children can develop an emotional connection with what they’re learning or with the person teaching it, this is how they learn best.

Constantly on the look-out for new research findings about the brain and Early Childhood pedagogy, and positively encouraging our staff to take ownership of our curriculum by suggesting ideas to enrich our programme, the TCG concept is constantly evolving to keep up with the fast pace of 21st Century life.

Today’s world is one of fantastic cultural diversity, making it more important now than ever to understand each others realities and cultures.  The best time to sow those seeds of understanding are during our most formative years – early childhood – and the best way to do that is with first hand experiences of these myriad cultures and realities.  TCG was launched in the UAE for a reason: to match our multi-lingual, international curriculum with the kind of cosmopolitan clientele that could both support it best and benefit from it most.

Today’s children need cultural, creative, physical, linguistic and academic stimuli during the various stages of their development.  A good curriculum has to spark children’s interest, engage their emotions and fuel their knowledge, confidence and communication skills.  That’s why Creative Arts, Language Arts, Music and Movement, Maths, Natural Sciences and Social Development all interlink within our curriculum to ensure that what we offer is a very rounded, holistic programme.

Internationally relevant, the TCG concept enables children to transition smoothly into any curriculum worldwide.  Everything we do has the same end goal: to enable our children to move on to their next schools as happy, confident children armed with bursting imaginations and remarkable creativity as well as a real appreciation of different cultures and at least two languages tucked under their belts.
