Quack was named by the children of Stars Class in a short brainstorming session. The duckling is a great educational tool, cute and fun to play with! His job is to integrate the family with school life by spending his weekends with different children and their families in turn, to see what activities they like to do. Quack helps the children build up their confidence and increase their creative interaction with their parents. Furthermore, it's great to have this connection between school at home on the weekends as it's a wonderful opportunity for parents to play another active part in the whole adventure of going to school. Besides the integration
at home, Quack helps improve the relationship of the children with their peers, teachers and the school, making everything a very positive and enjoyable experience.
So this is your opportunity for you to get to know Quack through the below pictures and reports of his weekend jaunts with the children of Stars Class...!
CHARLIE'S MERRY CHRISTMAS WITH QUACK (17 December 2009 - 4 January 2010)
|
|
The Yellow Duck, known as Quack, was sitting on Ms. Sybil’s lap when suddenly it was Christmas Vacation. Ms. Sybil was on her way to Australia and as Quack has quite an appetite, he was too big to fit in Ms. Sybil’s suitcase – just ask Eva. So, Quack decided to come home with Charlie. Charlie was thrilled to have Quack visit for Christmas as the rest of Charlie’s extended family were going to celebrate Christmas with Charlie only through Skype. |
|
Charlie brought Quack home and introduced Quack to baby Elmo and Makka Pakka. Quack. Makka Pakka and Charlie then headed to the playground with bucket and spade. They took a break to have a drink on a park bench and then Quack had to be persuaded to go down the slide. He was initially reluctant but finally got the hang of it. |

EVA'S WEEK WITH QUACK (5 - 14 November 2009)
|
Quack came to Eva's house for five days and although he was a bit big to fit in the suitcase to go on holiday with us to London, we caught up with him when we got back. Quack stayed home to look after our 2 pugs, Batman and Rocky and our cat Hercules. We also went to a fantastic Christmas Parade outside Harrods in Knightsbridge with snow, reindeer and even saw Father Christmas himself! We went for a walk in Hyde Park and there were LOTS of leaves that had fallen from the trees. |

We hope that Quack can come over again soon. |
Even though Quack couldn't come with us to London because Mummy said the suitcase was too full, we sat down with all our pets for a holiday run down!

AYA'S WEEKEND WITH QUACK (30-31 October 2009)

Aya had great fun with the duck, caring, quack and quack all day with her mum and sisters. She slept with the duck and cuddle all day long. Even her little puppy liked the duck so we had to protect Quack from her!
After this weekend, in the classroom, Aya loves to go to Quack's chair and give him a big warm hug! It's hard to keep them apart! |

Umm Sequeim beach is now his new favorite, he will probably soon return to it. We build a big castle with shells out of sand, watching us from a chair, Quack got pretty tanned. He then had a cool drink and relaxed in the shade, and we took some pictures of the achievements we made. Please enjoy the photos of Quack, we were proud of having the duck! The Cochran Family |
